Every
computer connected to the Internet is given a domain name and a set of
numbers that serve as that computer's "Internet Protocol" (IP) address.
When a visitor requests a page from any web site within the Neopatents
network, our web servers automatically recognize that visitor's domain
name and IP address. The domain name and IP address reveal nothing
personal about you other than the specific IP address from which you
have accessed our site. We use this information to examine our traffic
in aggregate, but do not collect and evaluate this information for
individuals. Our web servers do not record e-mail addresses of visitors
unless they sign up for a Neopatents account, register for our beta
program or buy our product. |

time to time, Neopatents may send a "cookie" to your computer. A cookie

| | What does Neopatents do with the personal information I furnish?
Subscribers
and program registrants are asked to provide certain personal
information, such as name, address, telephone number, and billing
information (e.g., a credit card number for paid services), when they
sign up for our services, and information about the type of personal
computer being used to access our services. The personal information
collected from consumers during the registration process is used to
manage each subscriber's account. This information is not shared with
third parties, unless specifically stated otherwise or in special
circumstances. However, in instances where Neopatents and a partner
jointly promote a service, Neopatents may provide the partner certain
personal information, such as the name, address, and username of the
persons who subscribed to the service as a result of the joint
promotion. The purpose of this information is to allow Neopatents and
the partner to assess the results of the promotion. In this instance,
the partner may not use personal information for any other purpose.
Neopatents may also generate non-identifying and aggregate profiles
from personal information subscribers provide during registration (such
as the total number, but not the names, of subscribers). |

may also request your e-mail address or mailing address for the
purposes of conducting a survey or for providing additional services
(for example, subscriptions to e-mail newsletters, announcement lists,
or information about seminars). Whenever we request the identity of a

inquiry before the information is requested. We maintain a strict
"No-Spam" policy that means that we do not intend to sell, rent, or
