JiNan Glasgow - President and CEO
JiNan Glasgow believes in entrepreneurs and in using intellectual property for creating economic value and sustainable development.  She has built her career from engineering to patent law and investment by finding non-conventional approaches, streamlining the path, and creatively using resources to provide answers and create positive impact. She is co-founder, CEO & president of Neopatents and is recognized worldwide for her expertise in intellectual property (IP). As an inventor, patent attorney and prior United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) patent examiner, JiNan uniquely understands intellectual property from the industry, legal services and government perspectives. JiNan’s technical background includes textiles, mechanical, chemical and electrical engineering, polymer fiber science composites and materials, biomedical devices, surgical/dental devices and applications, fiber optics, software, and pulp/paper science. Her educational background includes degrees in engineering, law and theology from NC State University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Duke University, respectively.
Sonnet Arlander - Director, Patent Analytics
Dr. Arlander leads the Neopatents Patent Analytics team in all technology areas — From hi-tech to biotech.  She believes in finding answers to client questions that result in client action or business decision — she is gifted at seeing what needs to be addressed and creatively solving the issue.  Her particular areas of personal focus include health & beauty, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology  She holds a B.S. in Animal Science from Brigham Young University, a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Mayo Clinic’s College of Medicine, and her postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) included examination of the role of DNA damage checkpoints in cancer.  As a result of her research endeavors at both NIEHS and Mayo, Sonnet has published multiple peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Cancer Research, Journal of Biological Chemistry, and Molecular Pharmacology.
Aman Shah - Director of Research & Development
Aman Shah is responsible for defining corporate technology strategy as well as providing architectural oversight on all software product lines at Neopatents. Aman has 10 years of experience in the software industry in designing and deploying systems ranging from desktop applications to distributed enterprise systems.  He has gained expertise in the fields of implicit knowledge recognition and data mining in addition to possessing a strong interest in graphical output presentation. In addition, Aman holds a patent in the area of implicit knowledge extraction from enterprise document sets. Prior to joining Neopatents, Aman held various architect and developer positions at Homestead Technologies and Trilogy Software.  He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
