Software Engineer

We are looking for a smart, creative, curious, proactive and team player to join us as a Software Engineer to drive further development of its state-of-the-art patent analytics platform. The ideal candidate must be excited by the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment that provides direct access to upper-level management and a tremendous opportunity to steer the direction of the company’s product lines.

PATENT ANALYST
Job Description:
The Patent Analyst will engage with clients and their technology to develop strategic plans and maps of the patent landscape. The Analyst will utilize Neopatents proprietary patent search and analysis software to accomplish the above. The position requires a strong technical mind, the ability to quickly and efficiently learn new technologies, creativity, and solid problem solving skills. Strong technical writing skills are a must as is a curiosity in learning about new technologies and how to better utilize them.

Responsibilities include:
• Researching patent and technical data
• Analyzing trends and relationships in data
• Collaborating with clients and other analysts
• Presenting findings in written reports and oral presentations

Required Background:
The Patent Analyst position requires a strong technical background in an engineering or scientific discipline. A strong curiosity in patents and new technologies is necessary and experience with patents is a plus.
