JiNan Glasgow addresses the Innovative Network
RALEIGH, N.C. (August 16, 2005) - JiNan Glasgow, president and CEO of Spore, Inc., was invited to speak to the Innovative Network at Indiana Wesleyan University on August 16 -17, 2005. The presentations will be given at the Indiana Wesleyan University Indianapolis Education Center. Ms. Glasgow will be addressing faculty members, university administrators and business leaders about the role of patents in innovation and economic development.
The Innovative Network is a joint effort of Indiana Wesleyan University, Taylor University, Ivy Tech State College, the Marion Grant County Chamber of Commerce and the Grant County Economic Growth Council. The goal of the Innovative Network is to encourage and assist entrepreneurship development from within the community and to connect students with internship opportunities that can lead to a fulfilling career.
“I am excited to be speaking to the Innovative Network,” said Glasgow. “Ideas and inventions - innovations - are increasingly the way that companies gain and hold a competitive edge. Protecting those inventions through patents is vital to accelerating economic growth. My experience as a patent attorney and entrepreneur have enabled me to help other entrepreneurs succeed through creativity, and I look forward to sharing these experiences with the university and business leaders.”
